Check-ups |
Choose your veterinarian as carefully as you would your family doctor or dentist.
A good veterinarian will take the time to advise, reassure and console you. He is available and can be reached by phone. He keeps up with the latest developments in the field by attending lectures and conferences. If necessary, he will refer you to a specialist. The veterinarians' facilities are clean and well-equipped, and you may tour them if you like. It is such veterinarians who will earn your trust and keep it.
On your check-up list:
- a general check-up once a year for young dogs; twice a year for older animals
- 2 stool exams a year
- vaccinations once a month until 4 months, then once a year
- an annual dental exam
See a problem? See a vet!
The earlier a problem is detected, the easier it is to treat. At the first signs of illness in your pet, see your veterinarian without delay.
